First Chartwell Edition hard back binding in publisher’s original navy buckram covers, gilt and scarlet title and author block lettering to the spine, gilt lettering to the upper panel. Quarto 10” x 7”. Contains [xvi] 381 printed pages of text with monochrome illustrations and maps throughout. The book was protected in thick brown paper, now removed, which has left a thin tape residue line down the inside paste downs, otherwise in Fine condition.
